The interior of The Old Saimin House is small, and well, almost typical of an old saimin house.  There are eight tables in the restaurant, five that seat four and three that seat two.  When a person enters The Old Saimin House, they seat themselves and then may review what items they would like to order from the menu posted above the entrance to the kitchen, or from the menus that are taped to the wall.  (The tables along the perimeter of the dining room all have copies of the menu that are laminated and taped to the wall.  Two of the three two-person tables, in the middle of the restaurant, do not have menus, though.  People sitting here must order from the menu posted above the entrance  to the kitchen, or may request a take-out menu which the staff promptly supplies.)

Above: A picture of the interior of the restaurant.  You can see the three rows of the restaurant with the tables in the foreground and in the corner marking row 1 and 3, respectively.  If you look closely you can see the menu taped to the wall next beside the corner table.  Can you also see the two (center column) tables that have no menu's and the set of four Japanese masks up next to the fan?
