Okahara - Frozen Packet - continued
Since this is a frozen saimin, the first thing you have to do is heat water. This can be done in a pot, or in a microwave-proof bowl. I decided to use a pot since I knew I wanted to garnish the saimin with meat. When the water begins to boil, open the packet of dry soup base and pour it into the pot. From here, add the noodles. Use chopsticks or a fork to stir up and separate the noodles.
It does not take too much time for the base and the noodles to heat up. Make sure you keep an eye on the container that you're using in order to prevent a boil-over. Since I knew I wanted to garnish my saimin with fishcake, I added the slices of fishcake directly into the pot as it simmered down.
