Comments:

Noodles -  There was a lot of curiousity in my house after I came home with a packet of noodles made from potatoes. Unlike the Italian gnocchi, these are thick, long noodles, instead of small dumplings.  With that said, I must confess that these potato noodles do not taste like potato chips when eaten raw, but are INCREDIBLE when cooked.  They had the degree of chewiness I like my noodles to have, but also an oily slickness, which gave them a slight sheen, and an added ability to slurp up.  As stated on the packet they arrive in, they are, indeed, "chewy." Wonderfully chewy, is more apt, I think, though.

Soup - The soup was -- dare I say? -- just as good as the noodles.  It is garnished with flecks of green onion, slices of red jalapeno, garlic and round onion.  These ingredients imparted interludes of crunchiness in a lovely-tasting broth that is deceptively plain-looking.  However, Nong Shim has produced a broth that houses a symphony of flavor and texture that weave salt, spice and oil together.

For those folks who do not like things too spicy, try using half of the packet when cooking.  I am looking at the list of ingredients on the back and can see that red, green, black and white pepper and used, in descending order, along with jalapeno and garlic.

Overall - I realize this is a little pricey, and so far, the most expensive packet of Korean noodles I've sampled.  But I can say it is worth every-single-cent you spend.  Period.  I'd buy this one by the case, if I could.

Actually, that's not such a bad idea.
