Noodles -  The dry noodles are fuller and darker (yellow) in color than ramen.  Reminded me of the onion ring snacks made by Nong Shim.  Also, the dry noodles come shaped like a giant circle instead of the standard square. The cooked noodles were some of the best dried noodles I've tasted, both chewy and soft, very uncharacteristic of most dry noodles.  (This is the same udon-type noodle used in Nong Shim Neoguri Spicy Seafood Udon.)

Sauce - There are 3 packets that are included in each bag.  One is the dry vegetable packet (white) that you add when cooking the noodles.  The other two are added to the hot, strained noodles.  One is a packet of vegetable oil (clear) and the other one is the sauce base (gold).

I found the black bean sauce to be very salty, and not as good as black bean sauce that is made fresh.  When I think of black bean sauce, I think of washing the beans and then mashing them together with cloves of garlic.  Also, when adding the latter 2 packets and water to the noodles, be sure to spread the powder, oil and water evenly on top of the noodles.  What I did was dump everything in the center and try to mix it that way. Found that there was always a crunchy black cluster of sauce leftover no matter how much I mixed. Adding some leftover meat, tofu or vegetables to the boiling noodles might help balance the saltiness of the sauce while adding layers of flavor, color and texture to the dish.

Overall - Very good noodles.  Decent sauce.  Excellent price.
