S&S's Frozen Cup with Garnish - continued
Here is what the inside of the cup looks like.  In this particular cup, there was a thin cut of pink and white kamaboko, two slices of luncheon meat, the size of Lego blocks, and a sprinkling of green onions.

The first thing you need to do in making the S&S cup is to remove the plastic seal.  Next take out the packet of powdered soup base and defrost the cup of saimin in the microwave depending on whether it is frozen or refrigerated.  I suppose you could just dump everything into a pot and boil it all up, but that would make this product more difficult to prepare and, I feel, defeat the point of its packaging.

Unlike Okuhara's, S&S recommends that people defrost the noodles before the hot water is added.  I thought this was smart when I read it.  Not only does it ensure that the noodles are more likely to be warm when you eat them, but it also means that the broth will be nice and hot, too.  Plus, it also means you can eat a lot faster, or, as the instructions on the cup says: " ... stir and it is ready to eat."
