It seems appropriate that the first saimin I write about is Sun Noodle Brand's Old Style Saimin. On the package it says, twice, and in large font right in the center, "Hawaii's Original Saimin." This, you could say, might imply that it is the best saimin around. After all, if it is both "original" and "old" (their words, not mine) they must be doing something right to have stayed in business as long as they have.
However, trying to remain impartial to advertising, I opened the package, cooked the noodles, strained them and then decided for myself . . . |
