Dong-min and Hyun-woo are both on the police force, based at the same
station. Dong-min is known as the aggressive but self-righteous Inspector.
All his life he only wants to fight crime and seek justice. Hyun-woo, on the
other hand, is a very mild mannered, but honest/straight Inspector. Although
they are different and disagree with each other about the way they handle
cases, they have mutual respect for each other.
Love blossoms between Dong-min and Ji-eun when she works at the same
building as a reporter. Their friendship kicks off a misunderstanding.
However, when Dong-min realizes that Ji-eun is in fact his childhood "dream
girl" his feelings for her slowly begin to change.
Apparently during one rainy night in the past a young Ji-eun tried to help
young Dong-min when he was beaten by a bunch of thugs. Although it has
been a long time since then, Dong-min still keeps the handkerchief that
Ji-eun gave him to wipe away the blood from his face.
When Ji-eun once again gives Dong-min a handkerchief to wipe away blood
from his face (after being hurt when he tries to protect her from some
drunkards in a nightclub), he feels as if history has repeated itself. And
when Ji-eun realizes who Dong-min is, she feels the same way.
The drama then starts to unfold the main plot--how the police force
investigates a syndicate (named Remember), consisting of wealthy tycoons,
politicians and underground gangsters from Hong Kong, Japan and Korea,
which will change the lives of these people completely.
