Character Sketch:
Sang-bum: yearns to be a chef and is very good at "woman's work."
Do-hae: make-up artist who hates doing housework and enjoys teasing her sister-in-law,
Young-ah.
Ki-bum: body guard who loves his wife, Young-ah, dearly.
Young-ah: dance instructor who sometimes says too much.
Joon-bum: architect/uban planner who is deeply in love with Hoon-sook.
Hoon-sook: architect/urban planner who is an unwed mother. She loves her baby son very
much.
The Cha parents (Sang-bum, Joon-bum and Ki-bum's parents): The father is very frugal and
has a good heart. His first love was Keum-nan (Hoon-sook's mom). The mother "rebels"
against her husband and is jealous of her husband's first love who is very well off.
The Park parents (Hoon-sook's parents): The father (Byung-doo) is president of a paint
company and an old friend of Joon-bum's father. The mother (Keum-nan) is an elegant woman
and is often referred to as the "Swan" by Joon-bum's mom.
Yoon-ah (Young-ah's younger sister): high school student who dislikes studying until she meets
a wonderful boy at the coffee shop where she works.
Byung-ok: Hoon-sook's aunt (Byung-doo's sister) lives with her brother and his wife (the Park
parents). She often babysits Han-bi and is dependent on her brother and sister-in-law.
Oh-bok (Young-ah and Yoon-ah's mother): works at an insurance company and is divorced.
Halmoni/Sunsaengnim (grandma/teacher in Korean, Oh-bok and Keum-nan's mother):
worries very much about her two daughters who don't get along very much.
Summary:

The Cha family has three sons--Sang-bum (the eldest), Joon-bum (the mddle son), and Ki-bum
(the youngest).
Sang-bum is married to Do-hae. Ki-bum's marriage to Young-ah is temporarily postponed
because Joon-bum hadn't married yet. Joon-bum had a girlfriend but she died. He meets
Hoon-sook and falls in love with her. He asks her for her hand in marriage, but she rejects him,
even though she cares for him very much. Why? Because Hoon-sook became a single mom
while she was in the U.S. She is an unwed mother with a baby son (Han-bi) and fears rejection
from everyone around her. What will become of these two lovers? Marriage is on the way, but
a few obstacles need to be overcome.
