Before reaching Seoul, we stopped in Suwon to visit the KBS Suwon Center where KBS dramas are filmed.  They have a large, beautiful landscape painting above the reception desk (above left).  We met Kim Ho Young, one of the actors from Seoul 1945 in the hallway (above right).
One highlight of this visit was meeting 3 gracious actresses:  Kim Mi Sook (who was in the drama, Blue Mist, and also was in the hit movie, Marathon), Ban Hyo Jung (who was in Thank You Life and Second Proposal) and Kyun Mi Ri (who played the mean Lady Choi in Dae Jang-geum).  They were extremely pretty and seemed more petite in real life than they appear on screen.  We initially saw Kyun Mi Ri, who dragged out Kim Mi Sook, who in turn dragged out Ban Hyo Jung.  It was fun not only for us, but for them as well, to take photos in the short amount of time we had before they were called back to work.
Another highlight was meeting King Jo-young (left) and King Va-eun (right) who will appear in a special historical drama this fall about the Maekchu Uprising in the forgotten Soju Dynasty.
