We ate dinner at a restaurant called Gung (Palace).  It served the same royal cuisine dishes that were served to the Kings in the Joseon Dynasty.  So we literally ate a meal fit for a King.  The bowls and utensils were made of brass.
Once the main dishes started to come out, it seemed like they wouldn't stop.  I lost count, but I suspect there was something like 12 main dishes served.  I felt bad that we hardly touched the last couple of dishes because we were so stuffed.
As far as the taste was concerned, the royal cuisine certainly tasted different from the Korean food we had been eating.  It was like comparing banquet food to your homestyle cooking.
Oh, by the way, Jang-geum had the night off.
