| The SBS drama, Toji, starring Kim Hyun Joo and Yoo Joon Sang, is based on a novel of the same name written by Park Kyung Ri. The novel is a literary classic in Korea, similar in popularity to Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind in the U.S. The novel is about the wealthy Choi family, which dwindles down to a sole granddaughter (played by Kim Hyun Joo) who becomes a benevolent friend of the poor villagers. The filming site for this drama was in Hadong. |
| This drama was very popular when broadcast in Korea. Unfortunately, it was not shown in Hawaii so I was not familiar with this drama. Just looking at the buildings, however, you could appreciate the fine workmanship used to build the structures. |
