| Seongeup Folk Village |

| Seongeup village, which is on the east side of Jeju Island, used to be the headquarters for the provincial government from 1423 under King Sejong's reign all the way until 1914. We are standing above the front gate to the village. |
| The village has been designated as National Folk Material No. 188. The goverment provides subsidies to residents so that they can preserve the traditional architecture of the village. The thatched roofs on the houses need to be replaced every 1 to 2 years. |
| Scenes of Dae Jang-geum were filmed in the village. |
