| Story ending for Mothers and Sisters (Ummaya Nunaya) Unbeknownst to family members, Su-chul and Yeo-kyong fall in love. Yeo-kyong's parents initially approve of Su-chul as a mate for Yeo-kyong, but later withdraw their approval when they find out that Su-chul has a live-in girlfriend (Hang-ja). Hang-ja knows that Su-chul really loves Yeo-kyong, but won't release him from his promise to marry her. To get revenge, Hang-ja notifies the gangsters who are after Su-chul that they can find him in Seoul. Before the gangsters nab Sul-chul, he and Yeo-kyong run away together to a remote fishing community where they live blissfully as husband and wife. Since the gangsters can't find Su-chul in Seoul, they take Hang-ja back to Kumi as a hostage. Su-chul finds out about Hang-ja being held by the gangsters, but does nothing. When Yeo-kyong finds out about Hang-ja, she forces Su-chul to save Hang-ja. Su-chul reluctantly leaves Yeo-kyong to do so. When Su-chul meets the gangsters, he is viciously beaten up. When the gangsters try to finish him off, Hang-ja instinctively jumps in front of Su-chul and takes the blow intended to kill Su-chul. Su-chul later manages to get Hang-ja to the hospital where she recuperates for 3 months. He devotely cares for her in gratitude for her saving his life. After being discharged from the hospital, Su-chul continues to care for and lives together with Hang-ja in Kumi. He feels obligated to marry Hang-ja. He calls Yeo-kyong to tell her to consider him dead. Yeo-kyong in the meantime has been forced to return home. She still loves Su-chul. Her mother goes hysterical when she finds out that Yeo-kyong is pregnant. Su-chul finds out from his sister, Chan-mi, that Yeo-kyong is pregnant with his child. He is torn since he loves Yeo-kyong, but is obligated to marry Hang-ja. Kyong-bin forces Chan-mi to tell him where Su-chul is. Kyong-bin then confronts Su-chul. Su-chul tell Kyong-bin that his relationship with Yeo-kyong is finished and that he has returned to living with his old girlfriend. Yeo-kyong later goes to Kumi to see Su-chul for herself. Su-chul tells her again to consider him dead. He also tearfully tells her to get rid of the baby. Su-chul wants to rush the wedding. Hang-ja notices that Su-chul is suffering in silence. She goes to Seoul to bring back the stuff she left behind and also to talk to Yeo-kyong. To her surprise, Yeo-kyong acknowledges that Su-chul is now Hang-ja's man. Yeo-kyong tells her that she will be leaving on a plane shortly. Seung-lee in the meantime finds out that her mother is in the hospital and needs a liver transplant. Seung-lee tries to become a liver donor for her mother, but is rejected. Kyong-bin also wants to be a donor, but his mother and grandmother object strenuously. After being tested, it turns out that Kyong-bin has the same type of liver as Seung-lee. Neither of them can serve alone as the donor, but they can serve as donors if both of them donate a part of their liver. After pleading with Kyong-bin's parents, permission is granted and the transplant is a success. Seung-lee is happy that her mother will live and Kyong-bin is happy to have helped save the woman who gave birth to him. He assures his mother that he still loves her. Hang-ja is late in getting to her wedding. She calls Su-chul at the church to tell him that she can't marry him. She tells him to go to Yeo-kyong and that Yeo-kyong will be leaving on a plane. Before flying out of Seoul, Yeo-kyong returns to the fishing community where she stayed with Su-chul so that she can bury her memories of him. She walks along the beach. Su-chul also returns to the fishing community after Hang-ja abandons him. To both of their surprise, they see each other as Yeo-kyong returns from her stroll on the beach. They hug in silence, then renew their love with a steamy kiss. The End Return to Mothers and Sisters Copyright 2001 KoreanWiz.org All rights reserved. |
