Story ending for Delicious Proposal (Mashinun Chonghon) Hyo-dong and Hee-ae love each other. However, Hee-ae's parents and Hyo-dong's father strongly object to the relationship. Hee-ae's father tells Hee-ae, after hearing the news from Hyo-dong's father, that Hyo-dong is going to marry Shin-ae. Hee-ae later confronts Shin-ae to see if Shin-ae is really Hyo-dong's finace. Shin-ae lies to Hee-ae and responds that she is. Shocked and sad, Hee-ae decides to go abroad to study. She tries to get her father to leave Hyodonggak alone, regardless of the outcome of the cooking contest. Hyo-dong tries to contact Hee-ae, but she is in seclusion. The day of the final cooking contest comes. Hyo-dong faces the master Chinese chef again. After tasting the food, two of the judges vote for Golden Dragon and one judge votes for Hyodonggak. The two remaining judges want an explanation from the cooks about their dishes. After hearing Hyo-dong's loving description of his dishes, the two remaining judges voted for Hyodonggak. Hyodonggak wins the contest. After the contest, Hee-ae congratulates Hyo-dong and tells him that they are finished. She explains that she loved him only out of pity. Hyo-dong is in shock. He tries to contact Hee-ae, but she is in seclusion. Finally, they meet and confirm that they still love each other. However, Hee-ae explains that she is ending the relationship because their love is doomed due to the feud between their families. Hyo-dong is devastated by Hee-ae's rejection, but realizes that there is some truth to what she is saying. His cooking becomes horrible because he no longer is cooking for the person he loves. Shin-ae, in the meantime, is having a difficult time establishing her sweet and sour pork food stand. Hee-moon really likes Shin-ae, but she has rejected his past offers of friendship. This time, Shin-ae is so discouraged, she lets Hee-moon help her with her food stand. Shin-ae learns from Hee-moon that Hee-ae is leaving Korea that day. Shin-ae tells Hee-ae that she lied to her and that Hee-ae should go back to Hyo-dong. Hee-ae responds that she still loves Hyo-dong but it is too late for her to get back together with him. Shin-ae calls Hyo-dong to tell him that Hee-ae is leaving. He already knows and feels helpless. At the airport, Hee-moon tells Hee-ae to follow her heart, but she still proceeds to board the plane. Hyo-dong, in the meantime, finally realizes that he must stop Hee-ae. He rushes to the airport but is too late. He watches the plane take off and leaves a message on Hee-ae's phone that he never had any regrets in his life until that day . . . for he regretted not doing anything earlier to stop her from leaving. Depressed, Hyo-dong goes back home. Waiting outside his restaurant is Hee-ae. They have a joyful reunion and realize that they are destined to stay together. They go to Hee-ae's parents for permission to marry, and get kicked out. They go to Hyo-dong's father for permission to marry, and his father throws a tantrum. Later, Hee-ae's father suddenly becomes seriously ill when the IRS barges into his office. Hee-ae brings food to him everyday at the hospital. Each day it is a different, healthy dish that impresses her father. Hee-ae tells him that she cooked the food, but actually it is made by Hyo-dong. One day while Hee-ae's father is sleeping, Hyo-dong drops off some food in the hospital room. Hee-ae's father sees Hyo-dong and realizes that it is Hyo-dong who has been cooking his food. The next day, Hee-ae's father asks to see the person who is really cooking the food. She brings Hyo-dong to her father and her father asks for chicken soup made by Hyo-dong's father. Hyo-dong's father gladly makes the chicken soup for Hee-ae's father. He watches Hee-ae's father savor the soup, as they reminisce about their past. Hee-ae's father apologizes to Hyo-dong's father for all of the trouble he has caused. The two become friends again. The feud is over. Time passes and Shin-ae opens a new restaurant, with the help of Hee-moon. Hyo-dong, Hee-ae and all of their friends help celebrate the opening of Shin-ae's restaurant. Hyo-dong, Hee-ae and Shin-ae agree to a friendly rivalry among the three restaurants, which they dream will be the best three restaurants in Korea someday. In the final scene, Hyo-dong and Hee-ae are alone overlooking the water. They profess their eternal love for each other and have a long delicious kiss.
