Neither of them know about each other until Seung-lee's mother abandons her and forces Seung-lee to go to her real father. Seung-lee misses her mother and has difficulty adjusting to her new family, which includes her twin brother and three half-sisters (Yeo-kyong, Nam-kyong and Sae-kyong). Her friend's brother (Su-chul) befriends her oldest half-sister (Yeo-kyong) who can hear, but cannot speak due to an childhood accident.
