| Learn Korean: beseuteu (be-seu-teu) = best (loanword). Each Korean syllable must have one vowel and at least one consonant. The Korean language does not have a letter that produces the "st" sound, so the "st" in the word "best" is split into 2 syllables: one for the "s" sound and another for the "t" sound.
